Hubs4circularity Europe project kick-off meeting in Brussels

Ron Weerdmeester and Taira Colah from PNO (formerly CiaoTech) joined the H4C Europe partners as they kicked off their project together in Brussels on the 21st and 22nd June.

A strong start in Brussels

It was two fruitful days packed with information, discussions and strategic next steps. The project that officially began on the 1st of June 2022, is funded in the frame of the 2021 TWIN GREEN AND DIGITAL TRANSITION call.

Building Europe’s Community of Practice on circularity

Over the next four years, the H4C Europe project will contribute to the creation of a European Community of Practice (CoP) on Hubs4Circularity (H4Cs). This community will support regions and stakeholders in setting up and managing H4Cs — places where industries, cities, and communities work together to implement circular solutions.

The CoP will gather insights and best practices from ongoing and past initiatives, enabling participants to exchange knowledge, overcome implementation barriers, and accelerate industrial-urban symbiosis across Europe. This will include sharing models, governance structures, KPIs, and investment strategies for circular collaboration on a large scale.

Supporting large-scale demonstrations

The aim is to enable hands-on demonstration projects that show circularity in action across regional and industrial settings. These demos will serve as working examples of how circularity can be implemented in everyday industrial and urban settings.
