For Sara Skogsater, working at PNO Innovation means helping ambitious ideas become projects that can make a difference.
She supports European innovation projects addressing some of today’s most important challenges, from decarbonisation and energy transition to sustainable aviation and industrial competitiveness.
One project she is particularly proud of is HERMES, led by French aircraft manufacturer AURA AERO. PNO supported the company in securing €95 million in European Innovation Fund funding for the development of a new hybrid-electric regional aircraft.

Behind every successful innovation project is a team of people with the right knowledge and experience. She works alongside engineers, PhDs, researchers, financial experts, project managers and specialists from different industries and countries.

After 21 years at PNO, Sara is still learning. She started her career at the company as a Consultant and Project Manager, gradually taking on more responsibility before becoming a Senior Consultant and, later, a Team Leader.
Over the years, she has worked across a wide variety of sectors, including aviation, energy, bioeconomy, energy storage, life sciences and digital technologies. That variety is one of the things she enjoys most. Every assignment brings new challenges, new technologies and opportunities to collaborate with leading researchers and industrial companies.
Working on demanding innovation projects requires both teamwork and time to concentrate. The hybrid working model offers that balance. Office days are an opportunity to exchange ideas, work with colleagues and share knowledge. Working from home gives her the space to focus on analysis, writing and complex project work.
But life at PNO is not only about projects and deadlines. Informal conversations, team lunches and coffee breaks are part of a collaborative culture where colleagues support each other and enjoy working together. And outside the office, Sara enjoys running, which helps her disconnect, recharge and sometimes even find inspiration for new ideas.
