Themes

Collaborative feasibility studies investigating new solutions that will address major on-farm or immediate post farmgate challenges or opportunities. The funding will support projects to prioritise solutions that will have positive outputs for UK farmers, growers and foresters in commercially relevant situations. Solutions must significantly improve productivity, resilience, and sustainability and progression towards low emission farming. Your project must address a significant industry challenge or opportunity in at least one of the four industry subsectors below:

  • Farmed animals
  • Plants
  • Novel food production systems
  • Bioeconomy and agroforestry

Eligibility

  • Project lead must be a UK business of any size and collaborate with other UK registered organisations (including at least one other grant claiming business).
  • UK registered businesses (of any size), academic institutions, charities, not for profit, public sector organisations and RTOs can join projects as collaborators.
  • Non-UK partners can be included as non-funded partners.
  • Subcontractors are allowed (preferably from the UK – overseas subcontractors can be used but justification must be given for why UK subcontractors could not be used).
  • Projects must be feasibility studies and last up to 24 months,
  • Any funded organisation needs to carry out their project work in the UK and must intend to exploit the project results from or in the UK.

Our Approach

The UK team has a strong track record in securing some of the most competitive national and European grants on behalf of its clients, with a full understanding of how a project should be presented to stand the highest chance of success. Each year in the UK alone, we are responsible for the submission of more than 100 funding applications across all sectors and priority areas. Based on this extensive experience, through careful project selection and using key insight into how a project should be best positioned, we consistently achieve success rates that are more than 5 times the typical success rates for UK national schemes and EU programmes.
