Your project must have high market potential and develop at least one of the following:

  • innovative products
  • technology based applications
  • technology based services

Eligibility

  • Projects must be collaborative, involving at least one UK-registered business and one Japanese SME as separate legal entities.
  • UK businesses of any size can lead; collaborations may include UK universities, RTOs, and other Eureka member partners.
  • Subcontractors are permitted, typically capped at around 20% of UK eligible costs.
  • Projects must focus on civil applications – military, nuclear, and pharmaceutical drug discovery activities are excluded.
  • A UK business can lead only one application, but may participate as a partner in others.
  • All partners must demonstrate genuine collaboration and commercial potential benefiting both the UK and Japan.
