The ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant offers £2,500 to farmers, growers or foresters in England to engage a registered Project Facilitator for developing a Full ADOPT Grant application. Funded by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) and delivered by Innovate UK, this support is part of the wider Farming Innovation Programme.

ADOPT Facilitator Support Grant Themes

Your project must address a significant industry challenge or opportunity in at least one or more of the following sectors:

  • Agriculture
  • Horticulture
  • Agro-forestry

The facilitator grant itself has no thematic restrictions, but it is tied to Full ADOPT projects which must have the potential to significantly improve one or more of:

  • productivity
  • resilience
  • sustainability and progression towards net zero farming

Is your project eligible for funding?

  • Lead applicant must be a farmer, grower or forester based in England
  • Must be a commercial business with a UK bank account
  • Project Facilitator must be listed in the Innovate UK Business Connect directory
  • Farmer, grower or forester can only lead on one application per competition round and receive a maximum of two Facilitator Support Grants in total.
  • The support grant is only paid after Full ADOPT application submission and evidence of facilitator cost.
