A European, national and regional detailed, site-specific incentives analysis for a new textile recycling facility in Europe considering 4 shortlisted sites in Spain, Germany and France. The service included:

  • A quick scan of time critical incentives and pre requisites for the company (containing a draft list with the most important identified grants per country, grant amount, timing, expected success rate, other important indicators
  • A comprehensive list of the most relevant incentives (including subsidies, grants and tax exemptions) available for each proposed site location.
  • A surface level analysis on soft loans and other interesting non financial incentives, such as loans from the EIB.
  • A thorough analysis on strategies to ensure the highest possible costs are eligible for subsidization, including the eligibility criteria, application requirements, and deadlines for each identified incentive.
  • A preliminary application strategy, outlining the approach for applying to the identified incentives, prioritized based on potential financial impact and alignment with the company’s project timeline.
  • A timeline for application submission that considers the deadlines of each incentive and the company’s readiness to meet application requirements.

RWE - EEMSHYDROGEN

RWE plans to build a 50-megawatt electrolyser in the Eemshaven connected to RWE’s Westereems wind farm. The renewable power generated will be used to produce green hydrogen.

This project demonstrates the flexible use of an electrolyser linking weather-dependent electricity with industrial baseload hydrogen demand.

PNO Innovation (formerly known as EGEN) supported the consortium with the funding strategy, set-up demonstration project application and exploitation.

H2 STREET (GREEN VILLAGE)

The network operators Alliander, Enexis Groep and Stedin have rebuilt a conventional natural gas grid to enable research on the possible applications of hydrogen.

This grid has been constructed with current natural gas requirements, standards, materials and components. This living lab is focused on creating a H2 street in the built environment for the transportation of hydrogen.

We supported the consortium with a funding scan and strategy and securing a Dutch national grant (DEI+).

BARENTS BLUE

A world-scale clean ammonia with advanced carbon capture project in Finnmark in Northern Norway, which includes planned CO₂ storage offshore.

The facility will convert clean hydrogen into ammonia, an easily transported hydrogen carrier, which can be converted back to hydrogen at the destination.

PNO Innovation (formerly known as EGEN) supported Horisont Energi with selecting multiple funding instruments (funding scan and strategy) and with securing IPCEI Hydrogen funding in Norway.
