About the programme

The ERC Seed Mobility Programme is a grant scheme that is aiming to attract 3 ERC Starting Grant level scientists to come to MUG and choose this University as a host of the ERC grant.

The Programme is designed to attract and retain talented researchers in the fields of Oncology, Cardiology and cardiovascular medicine, Biochemistry, genetics, and molecular biology.

The Programme is funded by the university and provides selected candidates with grant funding of up to 204,000 EUR and dedicated support, including consultancy assistance from PNO. The Programme is part of the “Initiative of Excellence – Research University” Programme at MUG.

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the Programme, candidates must conduct research that fits into at least one of the MUG’s Priority Research Areas. The Programme is open to young researchers from any part of the world who have the potential to become independent and excellent researchers. This Programme provides a great opportunity for talented researchers to establish themselves in their respective fields and contribute to the advancement of science and innovations.

In summary

The initiative consists of:

1. Seed money grant of 204 000 EUR
2. Access to PNO’s services (ERC coaching and support for submitting the application)
3. Access to administration support within university (3 dedicated persons for supporting grants submission, general contacts within MUG, accommodation in Poland)
4. Access to leadership of new unit at MUG (incoming researcher will receive position of group leader and head of the unit)
5. Access to our core facilities and other internal and external grants for independent researchers
