Finding the right project partners

To qualify for funding under the ambitious Horizon Europe programme, international collaboration within a consortium is an important condition. Strong international project consortia consist of partners with different backgrounds, each making a specific contribution and thus adding value to the consortium. A renowned party that plays an important role at European level as an innovation accelerator within the manufacturing sector. It is the EIT Manufacturing Co-Location Centre South, or CLC South for short, an innovation community of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). This institute is an independent body of the European Union.

EIT Manufacturing, for a powerful European manufacturing sector

The objective of EIT Manufacturing, part of the EIT, is to strengthen the manufacturing sector in Europe. This innovation community brings together over 70 companies and knowledge institutions from 17 countries. Together, they work on the industrialisation and commercialisation of technologies that are ready for the market. The EIT Manufacturing strategy is based on three pillars:

• Innovation – bringing new technologies to the market by putting in place tools and processes to lead the launch and development of new products, services and integrated solutions
• Business creation – creation, acceleration and transformation of high-growth companies with potential to lead Europe’s industrial transformation and drive value-added job creation
• Education – programmes, courses and digital platforms aiming at training and upskilling future and current industrial workforce to meet the future market needs.

EIT Manufacturing is headquartered in Paris and has offices in Italy, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Austria. These local offices, called Co-Location Centres or CLCs, work closely together and create synergies.

The Italian office of EIT Manufacturing, Co-Location Centre South, is based in Milan. This office is currently looking for opportunities to join Horizon Europe consortia active in the following areas:
