Support for projects that promote green innovation and environmental technology

The environmental technology scheme from Innovation Norway has been established to reduce the risks associated with developing and launching new environmental technologies. The scheme aims to enable Norwegian companies to create solutions that are either entirely new or represent a significant improvement of existing products, processes, or services.
The purpose of the scheme is to promote the development of environmental technology that:

  • Provides a new or improved solution to a defined environmental challenge
  • Strengthens the company’s competitiveness and contributes to long-term value creation in Norway

The scheme is primarily targeted at supplier companies developing solutions for the market, but it can also support technology development for internal use.

Projects must be in the pilot or demonstration phase (TRL 5–7), demonstrate innovation at an international level, and deliver measurable environmental effects. While there is no requirement for collaboration, letters of intent from pilot customers will strengthen the application.
